Chikashi Miyama - "Trajectories"

The aim of the performance “Trajectories” is to create an interactive relationship between the movements of the human body and generative audio-visual content in an immersive space.
During the performance, the artist wears “Qgo”, a pair of data gloves used to manipulate the immersive content on the dome. A central computer receives the data generated from the artist’s movements and creates image worlds that completely envelop the audience in real time using eight audio and video synthesizers. The performance was originally commissioned by the SAT Institute, Montreal, Canada and premiered as part of the Elektra Festival at the SATOSphere there in 2018.
