MODULAR ORGAN SYSTEM
SOUND-INSTALLATION

Phillip Sollmann & Konrad Sprenger - "MODULAR ORGAN SYSTEM"
Sound as an Immersive Experience:
In the former Marienkirche, now the foyer of the Anneliese Brost Musikforum Ruhr,
Berlin-based musicians and artists Phillip Sollmann and Konrad Sprenger install their
Modular Organ System—a technical and sculptural reinterpretation of a traditional
pipe organ, composed of modified church organs and newly designed elements.
As a large-scale sculpture and sound installation, it creates an environment
for visitors to explore independently, allowing transitions to flow—between
tradition and the present, between music and art.
Concept, Composition, and Design:

The Modular Organ System project is funded by the Musikfonds as part of the
Neustart Kultur program.
The installation opens on November 4, 2021, at 7:00 PM in the foyer of the
Musikforum Ruhr.
